We are an out-network practice and require full payment at time of service. Atlanta Dance Medicine does not participate with any third-party insurance providers. We are happy to provide detailed invoicing so that you may submit to you your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Please note that we are NOT allowed to see patients with MEDICARE as their insurance provider.

In the state of GA, you may be evaluated and treated by a PT without a physician referral for up to eight (8) visits. ADM PTs may assist in obtaining a referral by communicating a plan of care with your physician. We will also refer patients to appropriate specialty physicians as we deem necessary. Dry needling treatment cannot be provided without explicit communication with a physician.

COVID Policies We clean and disinfect all surfaces between clients. Most therapists are wearing masks and will require patients to do so as well. We are leaving this to the discretion of the treating PT. If you would like your PT to wear a mask, please feel free to request and they will happily oblige.

Please do not come to PT if you have any illness symptoms. These include but are not limited to: fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, sneezing, diarrhea, rash, loss of taste or smell, etc.

Keep in mind our cancellation policy is in effect. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid the late cancellation fee (full price of the appointment).

Ami Kirollos, PT, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in performing arts medicine. A former dancer, Ami brings a deep understanding of the physical demands of performance to her clinical work. She earned her Doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine and has extensive experience working with performers in both New York City and Atlanta.

Ami has treated a wide range of artists from Broadway performers to professional dancers. Her treatment approach is holistic and performance-centered, considering the full spectrum of demands placed on artists. Ami utilizes a combination for both movement and manual based therapy to help her patients achieve their goals.

Ami has pursued advanced training in pelvic floor therapy, dry needling, strength and conditioning, and Pilates. She has a strong clinical interest in treating artists with pelvic health concerns and is passionate about addressing an often under-recognized area of performer health.

Her professional experience includes working with performers from Broadway productions such as Wicked, Hamilton, and The Lion King, as well as dance companies including Alvin Ailey II, Martha Graham Dance Company, Pilobolus, José Limón Dance Company, Gallim, and Atlanta Ballet, among others.

Carmen Wurtz, PT, DPT, Cert. DN

Carmen received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2008 from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia with a major in Exercise Science. She graduated in May 2014 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Carmen grew up just outside of Atlanta, GA but has been an outpatient orthopedics Physical Therapist in Nashville, TN, Lexington, KY and is currently the Clinic Director in Alpharetta, Georgia.

She is trained in Pilates for the rehabilitation professional through Balanced Body and is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling. Carmen is also a current member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS).

She has experience working with company members from Atlanta Ballet, Lexington Ballet Company and Kentucky Ballet Theatre. Carmen has special interest in injury prevention for the performing arts population, cheerleaders, gymnasts and swimmers and has presented to dance studios about injury prevention.

During her free time, she enjoys playing in her garden, hiking with her golden retriever, deep sea fishing and traveling with her husband, 9-year old daughter and 7-year old son.
