Please note that we are NOT allowed to see patients with MEDICARE as their insurance provider.

In the state of GA, you may be evaluated and treated by a PT without a physician referral for up to eight (8) visits. ADM PTs may assist in obtaining a referral by communicating a plan of care with your physician. We will also refer patients to appropriate specialty physicians as we deem necessary. Dry needling treatment cannot be provided without explicit communication with a physician.

COVID Policies We clean and disinfect all surfaces between clients. Most therapists are wearing masks and will require patients to do so as well. We are leaving this to the discretion of the treating PT. If you would like your PT to wear a mask, please feel free to request and they will happily oblige.

Please do not come to PT if you have any illness symptoms. These include but are not limited to: fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, sneezing, diarrhea, rash, loss of taste or smell, etc.

Keep in mind our cancellation policy is in effect. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid the late cancellation fee (full price of the appointment).

Maggie Scheessele is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, and dance medicine. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University in 2013 and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2016. She also completed an Orthopedic Residency with Upstream Rehabilitation Institute in 2017.

Maggie began dancing when she was 7 years old, taking classes in ballet, jazz, and modern. She trained primarily in ballet for 10 years, performing in the Nutcracker each year. She suffered a painful ankle injury while dancing at a summer intensive program, which ultimately led her to Physical Therapy. During her DPT program at Emory, Maggie completed a directed study in Dance Medicine under Mandy Blackmon and Emma Faulkner. Since then, she has continued to treat dancers from Atlanta Ballet, diagnosing and treating their injuries in order to allow them to dance on stage.

She has experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, and she embraces a whole-body approach when treating her patients. Maggie creates an individualized treatment plan for each patient, establishing specific goals to allow her patients to return back to their typical lifestyle and activities.

She is certified in trigger point dry needling, and she has taken extensive courses on pain science, manual therapy, and manipulative techniques.
